It is hearting to note that the OCA like the proverbial Phoenix has resurrected itself. It is my fervent hope that this bond between the past and present will serve to strengthen ties in the future. This can only be done through a band of dedicated and selfless Campionites with the active co-operation of all its members. I wish the OCA fair success in all its forthcoming ventures through the years.

It was nice of you to remember us the old members of the teaching staff and non teaching staff and seek information from them to upload and display on their personal pages on the website. It was indeed thoughtful of you all Campionites to regard us in this unique fashion and remember and revive our sweet memories with you in the classes and outside. I am completing 84 on the 12th of November 2008 I really enjoyed the days in Campion. I was perhaps the only one teacher who was given a touching farewell by the Management with the invitation to my wife and a son. I will never forget that. Rev. Fr. Miranda came to my new assignment to find out whether I was happy there. He mentioned “Come back to Campion if you are not happy” This was a grand gesture. May God Bless you all.

It was a memorable experience during my tenure from the days of Rev. Fr. Moore to Rev. Fr. Miranda. The students were lovable and very attached. I was asked to take the responsibility of Secretary Welfare Committee for the Staff. I called a special meeting of all parents – doctors, specialists with the help of guidance from Dr. L H Hiranandani (ENT) who all offered their free treatment to staff in addition to Doctors samples of tonics vitamins and other costly medicines. The committee also paid for their intense treatment to the staff.

When Rev. Fr. Robort was adamant no to add to our pay pockets I lead the teachers to his room and after giving the fact that Campion School was transferring huge amounts to Jesuit’s Funds he recurrently was forced to pay flat rate of Rs 800/- p.m.

When Mr. Hodiwalla was on a study leave to Denmark I took over his duties. I conducted Annual Athletic Sports single handed which was appreciated by Principal Rebort and publicly awarded me a suit piece and extra amount. It was only when I got an opportunity of being the Principal of GES-HAL High School and Jr. College, I left the esteemed Campion & Campionites otherwise I would not have left Campion.

I still cherish my sweet memories when I sit in my arm-chair.

I am deeply indebted to Campion for fashioning me into what I a today.  I fondly remember Fr. Alban D’Mello for his organizational skills and for being a martinet and Mr. Kenneth Dyer for his dedication and sincerity. I do not believe I shall ever forget the staff who was a source of inspiration and encouragement. Thank You ex-students for giving me a chance to teach you and learn so much from you. The spirit of Campion still runs in my veins. Love and best wishes.

Campion is a great school. The staff and students and the parent body are absolutely wounderful. Their commitment and self devotion to the school are more than words can say. I can never forget them. I have great respect for the old boys and their devotion to the school. I have never seen such a set of boys and their sense of others-directness. I am proud of them.

-by Fr Francis Bernard Former Campion Vice Principal

Campion School my only experience of working in a school. It was a great learning experience particularly working with Fr. Hilary Miranda. To me in almost 40 years of my work there was never a better boss. Have many happy memories of staff and students and continue to meet some of them.

Campion School was where I spent the happiest days of my teaching career. It was a HOME away from home. Today in the golden years of my life as I get nostalgic the memories of Campion bring a joy to my life a smile on my lips and silent laughter as I vividly recall the faces of my Principals, Staff members and most of all the faces of my boys all through the years with their different personalities - so lovable. Yes I was called their strictest teacher but behind that stern exterior that I maintained so that I could get their potential was a heart that melted every time they were naughty. Campionites, yes you make me proud that most of you have made a mark not only in India but in the world in every walk of life. Well done boys keep the school flag always flying high.

-by Mrs. Gladys Fazul (Lobo) Former Campion Teacher (1960-1975)

Campion School was my first experience in dealing with young children. Rev Fr Rebot gave me confidence experience opportunity to coach and train budding talent. A short but memorable and unforgettable experience had at Campion. An Unbelievable Shot Dream.

I have wonderful memories of my days in Campion. I had wonderful principals. Fortunately I got along with all of them. The best was Fr E F More SJ. My first principal. The staff members too were very good and helpful. I was very happy to receive the copy of the Vocalizer sent to me by a kind soul. Reading it reminded me of the wonderful days I spent at Campion amidst my boys who are great men today. Was very sad to hear about the deaths of Maude Fr. Miranda Mr. Bracken and Fr. Austin. The latter used to write to me at Christmas giving me all the news. Was very happy to read about the Honors bestowed on Mr. Gomes Mr. Bhatia and Mustansir. Thank you very much & kind regards.

All the Students Staff Parents of Campion School were very co-operative Appreciative and understandable. PTA members were always there to support me – preferred the food cooked by me rather than ordered from outside helped me to grow in a loving environment. I still think of the 2 cooks & 12 hands who were very co-operative. The days in Campion brought memories of my own school days and upbringing of my own kids. When a ex student recognizes me I feel great. I tell my children that these were my kids in the great Campion School.
