I will not be able to attend the dinner for Bruce Gillespie. Although you mention that he left Campion in 1954, when I was still in Std. 6 or 7, somehow his name (and his distinctly chubby frame) has always stayed with me. I even sort of thought of him as a musician, but probably because he shared a surname with the famous “Dizzy†Gillespie.

I met Pushkar at a Campion gathering, maybe about 3 yrs ago. He was my senior. We chatted thru quite some time. I recall he was also with the NCC, likely the Naval Wing. Somehow, as I go back in time, I can also see him in an Air-wing uniform. Hence the fuzzy recalls. May his soul rest in peace. One more Campionite has left our midst. We live with the memories.

I knew Pushkar from school days. While I was not a close friend,he came across as a smart,caring and a sensible person. I was only today informed by Wahid Calcuttawalla that Kenneth, Anil and Pushkar joined the Dufferin together. How very sad and ironic that joined Dufferin the same time and passed away around the same time.

Dera Deepak and all my school-mates, past and present,
I am deeply saddened to hear of Pushkar´s demise. We talked from time to time and have been in occasional touch over the several years that have elapsed since we passed out of school.... I in 1969 and he a couple of years before me. He joined the Merchant Navy and I the Fighting one, but the sea remained a common denominator. He attended the 2011 celebratory events in the run up to the Navy Day 2011 with great enthusiasm and I last met him at the Indian Navy Symphonic Orchestra rendition at the Mulla Auditorium and it seems pretty hard to believe that he is no longer with us.
Rest in peace, Pushkar. Our hearts go out to the bereaved members of his family and my wife and I would like to extend to them our deepest condolences in this dark time, praying that God may grant to each of them fortitude and courage.

I am so sorry to hear the sad news of dear Pushkar’s passing. He was a very nice and polite boy in school. I met him only once after school at one of our get-together dinners about a year back, his gracious behaviour had not changed over the years.

I am Deeply saddened to learn about
Pushkar´s passing. He was a good friend
and we all enjoyed his company during
the Campion years. My deepest
condolences to his family and may his
soul rest in peace. I am truly alarmed
at the pace at which our dear
Campionites are leaving us at such young
age. So many of them have recently
passed around age 60 and it is unnerving
to realize that our age group is now in
the front line of fire.
