.jpg) Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament, & ExCampionite Class of 1971 will inaugurate the World Blood Donor Day festivities on June 14 at Vyloppilli Samskrithi Bhawan in Thiruvanannthapuram. Terumo Penpol Limited will organize the celebration.
Main aim of the celebration is to spread awareness about the need for safe blood transfusion and there will be functions to stress upon importance of blood donation. On the occasion, State Bank of India and State Bank of Travancore will be awarded with best institutions promoting voluntary blood donation.
Several other programs like thank you blood donor greeting card design contest and a regular meeting of the donors will be other features of the celebrations.
