We regret to inform you of the sad demise of Fr. Francis Bernard SJ former Vice Principal of Campion School on 17th February 2010. The Funeral took place at 4:00 p.m. at St Anne’s Church Mazagaon on 18th February 2010 followed by the burial at Sewri. Born on 20th of August 1923. Fr. Bernard lovingly also known as ‘Bernie’ to his Campion students was fond of music and writing. He joined Campion in 1970 as Vice Principal and taught English and Moral Science. He left Campion in May 1977. Even after his retirement he continued Psychological Counseling and Spiritual Guidance.
In his words “Campion is a great school. The staff and students and the parent body are absolutely wonderful. Their commitment and self devotion to the school are more than words can say. I can never forget them. I have great respect for the old boys and their devotion to the school. I have never seen such a set of boys and their sense of others-directness. I am proud of them.” |
